Inzwischen haben wir es mit einer wahren Flut von Pressemitteilungen zum Fund von KV 63, wie es wohl nun auch offiziell heisst, zu tun. Zahi Hawass spricht hinsichtlich der Krüge von königlicher Versiegelung. Da das Grab selbst nur eine Einkammerkonstruktion ist, es aber gefüllt ist mit mehreren anthropomorphen Mumiensärgen, dürften Otto Schaden und sein Team wohl auf eine weitere Cachette gestoßen sein. Bereits bekannte Cachettes sind DB/TT3201 in Deir el-Bahri, das Priestergrab in Bab el-Gasus2 (ebenfalls Deir el-Bahri) und eine Nebenkammer des Grabes von Amenophis II. new.bbc.co.uk3 bringt eine Karte mit dem "wahrscheinlichen" Ort des neuen Fundes. Wenn diese Aussage korrekt ist, dann dürfte es sich um die alte Grabung des Amarna Royal Tomb Projects4 handeln  - Vollbild - In einem Grabungsbericht auf der inzwischen aus vielleicht bekannten Gründen (das Projekt verlor unter merkwürdigen Umständen seine Grabungslizenz - siehe Ä-Blatt-Artikel vom 26.05.035) nicht mehr weiter gepflegten Homepage ist dann auch zu lesen: "By the end of the 2000 season, the area between KV 10 and KV 11 had been completely excavated, with the exception of a 2-metre area around the entrance to the tomb of Amenmesse. This will be examined by Otto Schaden of the University of Memphis expedition, in the hope of discovering the foundation deposits of KV 10. [...] Work at the eastern end of the site, towards the tomb of Ramesses VI (KV 9), uncovered further workmen's structures, including the last of the Ramessid structures recorded by Howard Carter on his survey of the area." Das deckt sich mit der Aussage von Patricia Podvorzski in news.independent.co.uk6: "Although the discovery came as a huge surprise, there had been a suspicion that something else might be found. "Some time ago a British team did remote sensing around the tomb and said they thought there might be something down there," said Dr Podvorzski." Nun wartet die Welt gespannt auf detailliertere Informationen, um wen es sich bei den in KV 63 hastig abgelegten Mumien wohl handeln wird.
