Gitta | 02.01.2003 um 20:15:05 | Ich vermute, der Meldung liegt die folgende, offizielle Original-Verlautbarung zu Grunde: --------- December 29, 2002 Ancient Cemetery unearthed in Beni The Egyptian-Spanish mission unearthed an important Cemetery that dates back to an ancient era (2260-2050BC) at Ihanasia al in the southern Egyptian governorate of Beni Suef (known Heraclupolis magna during the Greek era). Minister of Culture Farouk Hosni, in a press conference Saturday, said the mission unearthed four archaeological tombs in the area dating back to an era that followed the old ring time in Egypt. A tomb was unearthed six meters deep beneath the earth’s surface and is built of limestones with its walls adorned with religions drawings in red, said Hosni. Zahi Hawas, Secretary General of the Supreme Council antiquities (SCA), said despite a depiction of the tomb resident in religious scenes on the front gate, his name was not found so far. He added a limestone tomb of a person called Mri was found. Archaeologist Mohamed Abdel Fattah, Director of the Upper Egypt antiquities department, said the mission also excavate tomb of priest and sacred father EPI in addition to a number Statuettes and canopic jars. Ihnasia had hosted temples during the eras of the 9th, and 12th Pharaonic dynasties, the modern kingdom and the Graeco Roman time, said Abdel-Fatah. http://www.uk.sis.gov.eg/online/html8/o291222g.htm --------- Ich schließe mich der Skepsis Udimus an: die offiziellen ägyptischen Pressemitteilungen sind oft fehlerhaft und mit der heissen Nadel gestrickt, was sicherlich keine böse Absicht ist, sondern meist eher mangelnder Sach- und Fachverstand der Redakteure.
