"Malqata" bestand natürlich nicht nur aus Palast, Hafen und Amun Tempel. Die Putzfrauen, Hausmeister, etc. mußten ja auch irgendwo wohnen ... In Richtung / Nähe zum Kloster liegen das sogenannte "West & North Village" als Teile der Palaststadt : - Vollbild -(Google - Earth) (Studies on the Palace of Malqata - Investigations at the Palace of Malqata 1985-1988. - Tokyo : Chuo Koron Bijutsu, 1993. - S. 239, Fig. 2-7-3.1) Die Grabungslizenz für das Gebiet liegt seit einigen Jahren bei der "Joint Expedition to Malqata - JEM1" (Leitung : Dr. Peter Lacovara für das "Michael C. Carlos Museum" der Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia & Dr. Diana Craig Patch für "The Metropolitan Museum of Art" in New York). Laut Grabungstagebuch war man wohl in der letzten Saison hauptsächlich im "North Village" tätig. Gruß, Lutz.
