Discussion of non-kingly royal burials of the Eighteenth Dynasty focuses on the queen’s tomb of Hatshepsut at Wadi Sikket Taqa el Zeid; the “hanging tomb” at Bab el Muallaq, which may belong to Ahmes-Inhapi, the possible burial place of Ahmes-Nefertari at Dra Abu el Naga, the Tomb of the Three Princesses (foreign wives of Thutmose III) and the intact burial of Queen Merytamen at Deir el Bahari (which actually may be a reburial of Ahmes-Merytamen of earlier in the Dynasty). |
