BUCHHEIM, Liselotte, Geschichte der Rezepteinleitung. Horusauge - Jupiterzeichen - Recipe, Sudhoffs Archiv, Wiesbaden 51 (1967), 318-325 (2 fig.). Publication of the introductory chapter of Miss Buchheim's unpublished "Habilitationsschrift". The author gives a survey of the publications stating after Comrie, Medicine among the Assyrians and Egyptians in 1500 B.C. (Edinburgh Medical Journal, 1909), BA 5736, that the sign [siehe Anhang 1], which precedes medical prescriptions is derived from the alchemist's sign for Jupiter ([siehe Anhang 2]), and this again from the Horus-eye. This statement is clearly not correct. |
