Hallo zusammen,

Jean Revez : The Metaphorical Use of the Kinship Term sn "Brother". - In: Journal of the American Research Center in Egypt - JARCE 40. - 2003. - S. 123 - 131. - Seite 124 :

Zitat:
... From the mid-18th dynasty onwards, snt, literally "sister", gradually replaces the word hmt for "wife" in family scenes depicted in private tombs.

Similarly, "brother" can also replace "husband", as H. Guksch has pointed out to me based on a case taken from her soon-to-be-published TT 85, where Amenemhab, the husband of the tomb's owner, the nurse of the future king Amenhotep II, is referred to as sn.s [mr.]s < . . .> I[m]n-[m-hb] "her brother (= husband) whom she loves".[15] ...

[15] I wish to thank Mrs. Guksch for kindly sharing this valuable piece of information with me. ...

Gruß, Lutz.
